HIS PROMISE OF PEACE
Peace is a beautiful thing,
A promise the world can't keep;
World peace is a good night's sleep,
But that peace is a breakable thing.
Only one peace cannot be broken,
This peace is a promise from God;
To accomplish His holy Word spoken,
God's Son Jesus had to die on a cross.
Every day the world turns,
Every day the Light shines;
Every day a new Sun rises,
Every day an old one dies.
As the great forever hymn says,
"It is well, it is well, with my soul!"
If you really want a life of giving thanks,
Try believing that in every circumstance.
World peace is a breakable thing,
But those who follow CHRIST still sing;
Jesus has defeated death's painful sting,
His promise of PEACE is a beautiful thing.
